Hitsugaya joins the battle and helps Matsumoto only to discover the Arrancar's ability to duplicate itself. With no other options but to take all the Arrancar-duplicates with one swing, Hitsugaya and Matsumoto were led by Shōta back to the park. Moments after destroying all the Arrancar-duplicates, an unconscious soul of young girl appears in the park out of nowhere. The young girl happens to be Shōta's little sister, named Yui. Back in Orihime's room the 2 souls are under the care of the Hitsugaya’s advance guard squad. Soul Society tells them about their discovery regarding the Arrancar's unusual abilities. Confirming Hitsugaya’s suspicions that they have not killed all the Arrancar-duplicates, he orders Ikkaku and Yumichika to search again for the Arrancar with him while Matsumoto is left to take care of the young souls. - by monica king
