Keiichi comes to the resolution that he must kill Teppei. While he prepares a hole for the body, he reminisces about the time shortly before moving to Hinamizawa and when he first arrived there. While the Watanagashi Festival takes place, Keiichi ambushes Teppei and brutally beats him to death with Satoshi's baseball bat. He buries the body in a second hole. On his way back home, Keiichi bumps into Takano.
